Man United x Cadbury Memories Unite Us

A cuppa and a chinwag might seem small, but that kind of support can truly change the game for some. For older Manchester United fans, football is filled with decades of memories: the highs, the heartbreaks, and the match days spent with loved ones. But over time, those precious memories can fade, especially for those experiencing loneliness or memory loss.

So, in 2024, to celebrate our 200th Year Birthday, Cadbury and Manchester United teamed up to launch the Memories Unite Us campaign. The goal? To highlight the power of preserving memories and show how football can help fans reconnect with their past, all while raising significant awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) and the unmatched work they do.

Through our incredible partnership with the club, we gave lifelong supporters the chance to share their fondest Manchester United and Cadbury moments during a one-off edition of United’s Reminiscence Sessions at Old Trafford. After a nostalgic first half, the group got an “unbelievable” surprise when first-team players dropped in to join the chat, making the experience even more special. To top it off, they were treated to VIP tickets to watch the Red Devil’s take on Burnley, all thanks to Cadbury.

To ensure these heartfelt stories could be spread far and wide, we filmed the participants as they shared what Cadbury and Manchester United meant to them. The UTD Podcast dedicated an episode to the campaign, highlighting how impactful the sessions were. Plus, the initiative featured on the club’s website, giving more fans the chance to get involved and support the cause.

This was far more than just financial support. It was about creating moments that truly mattered, showing that even the simplest gestures, like taking the time to talk, can change someone’s game in ways that last long after the final whistle.
