Chelsea FC X Cadbury Edge of the Box

Kickstarting a business can be tough, especially for female entrepreneurs, who often lack access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. That’s why Cadbury teamed up with Chelsea Football Club in 2020 to launch the Edge of the Box (EOTB) programme, giving women the game-changing support they need to shake up the business world.

Through our long-standing partnership with The Blues, we’ve created invaluable opportunities, including the donation of perimeter board branding at WSL fixtures, helping female-led businesses gain visibility in front of a much bigger crowd. Most recently, in the 23/24 season, Cadbury donated advertising boards at Kingsmeadow Stadium to local female businesses, helping them reach new audiences and grow their brands.

But it’s not just about visibility.

We’ve also hosted entrepreneur sessions at Chelsea’s training ground, where participants can learn, connect, and grow. In the latest session, Chelsea Women players Ashley Lawrence, Zecira Musovic, and Sophie Ingle joined to discuss how they’re preparing for a future in business after football. Hearing firsthand from elite athletes about their own career transitions was both eye-opening and inspiring, giving future female entrepreneurs the motivation and confidence to pursue their goals. As one participant, Christina, put it: “I’m very grateful to Chelsea Foundation and The Edge of the Box Club for the part it played in my journey.”

From branding opportunities to educational workshops, these small acts of generosity are having a long-lasting impact, helping women grow their businesses, elevate their brands, and change the game in their industries. And through Chelsea’s social media, event photography, and newsletters, we’re ensuring their voices reach even further.

Together, Cadbury and Chelsea are proving that supporting women doesn't stop on the pitch. It extends into the business world and beyond.
