Birmingham city X
Cadbury: supporting pan-
disability football

Now, it’s not every day you get to score some time with stars from Birmingham City’s Men’s and Women’s first team. But for some lucky players from Birmingham City Foundation’s pan-disability side, that dream became an unexpected reality, thanks to Cadbury.

To celebrate our ongoing partnership with Birmingham City FC, we subbed in Charlie Devlin, Jordan James, Manny Longelo and Lucy Quinn to surprise the Foundation players with a game changing training session – and it’s safe to say, they were well and truly gobsmacked!

But the generosity didn’t stop there.

We arranged for our four special guests to deliver personalised Dairy Milk bars, take squad photos and sign football shirts – a hat-trick of kindness! For Longelo, it was an unbeatable experience, “I see the smiles on their faces, you know, it just puts a smile on your face”.

Since partnering with the Foundation four years ago, we’ve supported the Blues’ incredible Inclusion programme, which focuses on the adult pan-disability football team initiative. Not only have we supplied the squad with a kit for when they compete across the Midlands, but we’ve raised crucial funding to help support their training facilities and coaching staff, so they too, can change their game.

Birmingham holds a special place in our heart, being that it’s 200 years since we opened our first Cadbury shop in the city in 1824. Though our brand is known for delicious chocolate, our goal is to help nurture local footballing communities and fans across the UK, keeping them kicking for generations to come.
