Methods

  • Preheat the oven to 200 ⁰C, gas mark 6. Grease and line a 20 cm square tin with baking parchment.
  • Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a large heavy based pan over a gentle heat.
  • Add the oats and mix well, then break the chocolate into chunks and stir them in. Place everything into the prepared tin, pressing well down.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, remove from the oven and leave to cool. Remove from the tin and cut into 12 fingers.

  • 1.5 tbsp golden syrup
  • 225 g porridge oats
  • 50 g Cadbury Bournville
